The theater department is excited to present The Importance of Being Earnest, directed by Rob Elstein, in the Papp Theater on April 7th-9th. The Importance of Being Earnest: A Trivial Comedy for Serious People, by Oscar Wilde, is a satire critiquing social obligations, hypocrisy, and human needs. This witty and ironic play about two upper-class bachelors whose disdain for conventional behavior gets them tangled into a web of trouble is considered by many to be Wilde’s greatest dramatic achievement.


Student tickets are available for $5 and can be purchased in room 150. Please encourage your students to go. Student
