Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year! Classes begin on September 10, 2026 and we will be following our regular Murrow schedule. Here are some important things to know for September 10, 2026:
- Program –You can access your semester 1 program by checking your NYC DOE email. Your official programs will be emailed to you by Tuesday, September 8, 2026. That is the program you will be following on the first day of classes on September 10, 2026. Once you access your program, please bring a copy of your program with you on September 10, 2026. You will need a copy of your program when you enter the building. Paper copies of programs will be distributed to students in their B-Band class.
- ID Card – All students must bring their ID card to school each day. You will be asked to show your Murrow student ID and a copy of your program to enter the building.
- We will be following the regular Murrow schedule – If you have an A-Band class (period 1), class begins at 7:45am. Students who have an A-Band should arrive by 7:30am. If your first class starts B-Band (period 2), your day will begin at 8:33am.
- Cell Phone Pouch - In accordance with New York State law, students are not permitted to use personal internet-enabled electronic devices during the school day from bell to bell. This includes devices such as cell phones, laptops, tablets, smartglasses and portable music and entertainment systems. Please review the updates on the NYCPS website as well as Murrow’s updated cell phone policy. Please bring your cell phone pouch with you starting on the first day. If you need a pouch for the start of the school year, you can come to Murrow on Tuesday, September 8, 2026 from 9am-12pm.
- OMNY Cards will be distributed during B-Band class on Thursday, September 10, 2026. If you do not have a B-Band class, you will receive these items during C-Band.
If you have any questions regarding your DOE email account or ID card, there will be staff members available at the entrance to assist you.
